Who we are
George Apostol is a 3rd-generation real estate developer and has been in the residential and commercial real estate development, land entitlement, and construction business for over 25 years. From an early age, while working for his family’s development firm, George learned the development and construction business from the ground up.
He has successfully built numerous custom and speculative projects in Southern California that often sell during construction before even being listed on the MLS. His experience has provided him with a solid understanding of complex construction-related issues, as well as issues related to planning activities, zoning, and code regulations.
Mr. Apostol holds a Master’s Degree with Honors in Business Administration from the Columbia Graduate School of Business, with a concentration in Real Estate Finance and Development, and a Bachelor of Science Degree with Honors in Business and Economics from Lehigh University. In addition to being a licensed real estate broker, Mr. Apostol has previously served as a Commissioner in the City of Manhattan Beach, including serving on the Planning Commission, Parking and Public Improvements Commission, and Board of Building Appeals. He is also the former President of Leadership Manhattan Beach. Mr. Apostol resides in Manhattan Beach, CA.

One of the many things that make our firm unique is that we do not rely solely on subcontractors to complete our projects. Our firm maintains a full-time staff of experienced craftsmen. Many of our staff have worked together for over twenty years, and have extensive skills in various construction methods, including masons, 3rd-generation master carpenters, and finishers. Maintaining a cohesive and experienced in-house staff ensures that the level and attention to detail on our projects is of the highest caliber. Each member of our staff takes great pride in their work, resulting in the utmost quality home. This allows us the unique ability to control budgets, maintain timing, and deliver the highest level of workmanship. The Watermark Group only takes on a few projects at a time to ensure our high standards remain consistent.
